Ms. SVG 1999 - Kimon Baptiste
Pageantry was something that I was always interested in, however after getting the call to enter the Miss SVG 1999 pageant, my shyness took over and almost made me miss a wonderful opportunity to be an ambassador for my country. My introverted dimena quickly began to be subdued after encouragement from close friends. Lack of experience in this area (pageantry) meant that it would have been a serious learning experience for me, since both my chaperone - (who was my best friend) and I were novices. This meant that instincts were crucial in our decision making process. (See more on Kimone)

Ms. SVG/Ms Carival 2002 - LaFerne Fraser
I was 18 years old and it had never crossed my mind to enter the Miss St.Vincent & the Grenadines pageant until a friend of mine gave me a call and asked if I were interested. I said I would think about it. I felt excitement at the thought of someone else thinking that I was ‘good enough’ to enter. There were three women in particular whom I admired and looked up to; the late Donna Young, Nicole Hadaway and Roxanne Israel. These women to me represented grace, style and class… they had a tremendous influence not only on young women but on the Vincentian public entirely. As a contestant, I could have the opportunity to do and to be much of the same. I (See More on LaFerne)
Miss SVG/Miss Carival 2003 - Shiverne Peters
I was born and raised on the beautiful Grenadine Island of Bequia and prior to my involvement in pageantry I was known to be quite a tom boy. However that soon changed on the night of Miss SVG 2003. The experience that I have gained from this show was tremendous, and having won Miss Congeniality in two pageants, I have gained gained life-long friendships. (See more on Shiverne)
Ms. SVG 2004 - Javorne Williams
My first show was when I was in secondary school, I was asked to enter the Miss GHS Environmental Pageant. The show was being put on by the Young leaders of which I was a part; it was a fundraising effort to help with the project for that year. I entered the show, which to me was always for fun. I never took pageants seriously because I never saw myself going further than a school show. (See more on Javorne)
Ms. SVG 2006 - Sheridan Lewis
Ever since I was a child I always had a dream of wearing a crown, just like the queens of yester-year, this dream was realized when I captured the Miss SVG 2006 title. However prior to this life changing experience I must say that I received quite a bashing for entering the pageant, since many thought that my christian values were being compromised. However, I took it all in strides, and realized that this would have been a wonderful opportunity to influence positive change in my country, by creating a sense of awareness about threats to society and forging ahead with God's guidance in showcasing the determination and conviction to empower other young persons. Ms. SVG 2007 - Melissa York
Becoming Miss St. Vincent and the Grenadines was a childhood dream that was realized on June 2nd 2007. Standing on the stage, looking out onto the crowd, wearing that coveted crown on my head, was indeed one of the proudest and most fulfilling moments of my life. My most treasured possession however, is not the crown I proudly display, it is ironically the experiences and people I met on my year long journey to that special night. (See more on Melissa)
Ms. SVG 2008 - Ronique Dellimore
My life has changed since I have won both pageants. I was known to be a little tomboy who was always looking for something new and adventurous to do. Entering pageants I must say is not a smooth walk in the park it has its challenges and of course the great times that it comes with but through it all you have to be strong and remember to be an individual. Before I really got in to all my preparations I thought all this is really about is looking beautiful and making everyone love you, but to my surprise it was much more than that.
